Judith Carpenter is a graduate on flute and piccolo of the Victorian College of the Arts, where she studied with Mardi McSullea and Susan Barker. In 2018 Judith graduated with a Master of Music (Performance) degree from The University of Sydney, having studied with Alexa Still, Geoffrey Collins, Rosamund Plummer and Chai Chang-Ning. She has taught at Scotch College, Haileybury College, Caulfield Grammar, St Kevin’s College, Shelford and Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar, as well as privately. She has also tutored for Melbourne Youth Music and for the UPOL-ova music camp at Portoroz, Slovenia. As a performer Judith has worked as a casual player with the MSO, SSO, TSO, ASO and OV. She has held a contract with the TSO and with Stavanger Sinfoniorkester in Norway, and has also worked with Orquesta Filarmonica de Gran Canaria in Spain. Judith offers flute, piccolo and theory lessons for beginner to advanced levels, and Chinese bamboo flute and recorder lessons for beginners.
