Susan Breen Clarke
Vocal Specialist Teacher: Susan is a highly qualified vocal teacher. Previously she has taught at University level for over twenty years. She was on the staff of Melbourne University, Monash University where she won an excellence of teaching award, VCA , Melba Conservatorium and ACU. Currently she has a large private studio which is based in Box Hill South. Susan is an examiner for the AMEB and also adjudicates throughout Victoria and Interstate. Susan has had considerable success with her students ,several are now working with Various Opera companies both in Australia and Internationally. Susan is a VCE expert and has taught many students over many years at the VCE level. She teaches students of all ages starting from age ten through to advanced adults. She encourages the students to work through the AMEB levels and several have achieved the advanced Diploma levels in recent years. Susan is an experienced soloist, and has also worked as a musical director for Opera Melbourne and at the Adelaide Festival. Over the years she has studied with several outstanding vocal teachers both in Melbourne, Adelaide and in London. She specialises in Mozart repertoire, French Art song, Lieder and songs from the Russian genre as well. She also teaches Music theatre repertoire. Her qualifications are:
