Profile Summary

Tamara Vasilevitsky has a Master degree in Music specializing as a piano teacher, piano artist and chamber orchestra soloist .  She has toured Russia and Europe as a soloist and accompanist with leading European musicians. She has won the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, the International Chamber Music Competition in Prague and the International Festival for Variety Artists in Moscow.  In Melbourne she is an official accompanist at the Conservatorium of Music (The University of Melbourne) and  the Senior Piano Teacher at Yamaha Music School. She continues to perform at the prestigious venues at festivals and concerts as a solo player, accompanist and in a group of different musicians, creating an exciting repertoir of classical, jazz, russian, french, spanish, jewish and gypsy folk music for weddings and parties.

Tamara is registered teacher with Victorian Institute of Teaching. She enjoys teaching and sharing her love for music with students. As a piano teacher Tamara is familiar with different methods of music education including traditional classical and Yamaha approach which is based on multilateral leaning and fun.  She is flexible to implement any of them according to her students goals, age, personal interests and qualities. Tamara is satisfied  when the students leave the lesson being exited to know what to do and are convinced they can do it.

Tamara offers lessons for people of all ages from 6 years old including preparation for VCE, AMEB exams all grades, competitions, festivals and just playing for leisure.

Every year she organises the concert, wonderful opportunity for students to play their favourite pieces and  experience performing in front of live audience made up of family and friends. Playing and listening to others help to master musicianship  of young performers and to learn not only how to play piano, but also to properly understand music stylistically and creatively.

Tamara's students have achieved excellent results including prizes, awards,  scholarships and 100% pass rate for all VCE and AMEB examinations.
