I offer private piano tuition, specialising in teaching beginners and early years of learning, using a broad range of materials to suit each student individually. I guide my students to develop musical foundations and skills so they can learn to play music they love, whether for performance, exams, or for pleasure. I enjoy promoting a love of music in a positive and engaging environment, allowing students to become confident and independent learners.

Professional Musical Background
As a dedicated teacher and performer for over 25 years, my experience includes teaching at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. I have taught individual lessons and held Performance Preparation workshops as a guest lecturer for UWA, ECU (WAAPA), ANU, Australian Youth Orchestra and the West Australian Youth Orchestra.
As a professional musician, I have given many recitals and performed bassoon with numerous professional Australasian orchestras, including many years as a member of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

Lessons
30, 45 and 60 minute lessons are available. The optimal lesson length will depend on the student’s level, experience, or goals.
30 minute lessons at $55 for younger beginners.
Longer lessons are appropriate for older students, and as the student progresses.
