About

Hello!
I am a student currently an undergraduate researcher at the ANU, with 14 years of piano playing and performance experience, and 2 years of teaching experience Having taught over 20 students ranging from ages 4-70, and at all skill levels, I am able to fully adapt each lesson to effectively target each student’s individual goals. I can confidently cater each lesson to different focuses, while always enthusiastically sharing my passion for music. Although technical skill is a fundamental cornerstone, I place more emphasis on fostering a love for piano by teaching pieces picked by each student. Since I am confident in composition, I am more than happy to arrange songs of any genre for piano, as well as improvising piano duets with students by ear.

I adopt a friendly and encouraging approach for students both pursuing grades, and learning for leisure. However, I am able to push students when necessary, to help them reach their fullest potential. With an extensive knowledge of music history, theory and composition, each student will not only improve technically and expressively, but will also gain a more comprehensive understanding of music as a whole.
