Nora is a highly qualified cello teacher with many years of experience. She is passionate about educating young and old and sharing the love of music making with her students. Her experience together with her caring nature makes learning a wonderful and long lasting experience. Nora is teaching at her studio in Ferntree Gully Melbourne, as well as at Chairo Christian School in Pakenham. She is the music director and cellist for Four Seasons String Quartet performing all over Melbourne and Victoria Nora has completed her Bachelor degree in music at the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. After working as an orchestral cellist in Europe she moved to Australia in 1992. A few years later she completed her Master of Music Studies at Melbourne University majoring in teaching and performance. In 2003 she was awarded the Licentiate in Music certificate by the Australian Music Examination Board. Nora can tailor lessons to suit each student using a method which is best for the individual. She teaches students as young as 4 as well as mature age and all ages in between. Nora prepares her students for all levels of AMEB examinations with a 100% success rate. While her students are encouraged to undertake these examinations they are not compulsory. Parents are most welcome to sit in on lessons. Nora believes that instrumental learning is a fantastic way to stimulate your thinking, emotional and physical wellbeing, as well as develop coordination. It’s never too late. Nora welcomes you for an introductory lesson with no obligation to continue. Her fees are guided by the Victorian Music Teacher Association where Nora is a full member. She can offer a 30, 45, or 60 minute lesson depending on age and level.
