I have been teaching saxophone since 2006 and clarinet since 2012. Happy to help you work towards whichever goals you have with your instrument: AMEB exams, mock exams, auditions, high school music performances, solo performances, ensemble or band concerts, ensemble auditions etc.
As part of the AMEB preparation process, I help provide students with opportunities to perform either during their lessons with me, or for others. I also try to arrange accompanist rehearsals to coincide with lessons or alternatively at a time where I may also attend in order to teach valuable ensemble skills. I find this helps the student to be much more confident as an ensemble member and I am able to give much more instrument specific feedback during an accompanist rehearsal.
Musicianship also offered for instrumental students.
I also have experience as a classroom teacher in Sydney schools working with both the primary school and high school syllabi. I am familiar with these syllabi and happy toassist students in meeting classroom music goals in their instrumental lessons too if that is a goal.
Qualification: Bachelor of music (Music Education) at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
