Hello! I’m Christina and I’m a 21 year old International Security/History student at the ANU. I’ve been learning and playing music since the age of 5 and I’ve been learning and playing classical, contemporary and jazz music on the clarinet for the past 13 years. I’ve worked as a clarinet tutor for the past two years and prior to that was a piano teacher for one and a half years. I’ve completed AMEB clarinet exams from grade 2 through to grade 8, as well as AMEB music theory exams for grades 1 and 2, and participated in a variety of different bands and ensembles throughout my schooling experiences, including large orchestras, jazz bands and chamber orchestras.
I enjoy playing and teaching every kind of music, and my focus as a teacher is to ensure that the students have fun and really enjoy playing music. I am equipped to teach clarinet players of all ages from a beginner to advanced level. I like to help my students achieve their musical goals, whether that be AMEB exams or songs from the school band or just playing music they find fun. Above all, I encourage my students to enjoy their lessons and playing the clarinet as much as I do!
