Jessica’s music journey started at an early age; first learning the piano from the age of 8, and picked up a flute a few years later. After receiving a music scholarship to study at Box Hill Institute in 2011, she then transferred to Monash University in 2012, where she was under the direction of Peter Sheridan – one of the best low flute specialists in the world. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music in 2014, she then completed her Master of Teaching (secondary) from Australian Catholic University in 2017.
Jessica has performed world and Australian premieres on the bass flute and has been an adjudicator at the Victorian Flute Competition.
Currently, Jess is a flute and classroom music teacher at Santa Maria College in Melbourne. She enjoys playing regularly at church and for weddings.
Jessica believes that anyone can learn any instrument, at any age and is always happy to help – whether that be for AMEB exams or just for fun. Each lesson is individually tailored and focuses on music, technique, theory and aural development.
