I am passionate about music and I am excited to use the skills I have learned throughout my own music education to share my passion with others. My lesson environment is fun and encouraging, and I want to help you reach your goals – whether that is sitting AMEB exams, learning to play for your own enjoyment, or to be in an ensemble.
I offer a variety of different services, for each step of your musical journey. From age 8 you can learn flute, clarinet or saxophone with me; as a beginner, or if you want some extra tutoring for schoolwork, or have returned to your instrument after time away from it. For younger students, aged 5-7, you can get started with woodwind instruments by learning recorder or fife (small flute). I also offer one-on-one music theory tutoring, to help you pass theory exams.
I have a Bachelor of Music in flute performance and a Graduate Certificate in clarinet and saxophone performance, both from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. These studies have equipped me with a thorough understanding of flute, clarinet and saxophone technique, as well as valuable practice and performance skills. I have experience teaching, and have completed teaching courses during my studies.
