Suzannah Keene

Suzannah studied with Julian Smiles as part of her combined Bachelor of Music/Engineering degree at the University of Sydney. Suzannah was a solo artist in the Vivid installation ‘The Sound Bubble’, performed in Italy during the Estivo Chamber Music Summer School and was the Principal Cellist of the Sydney Youth Orchestra. She has participated in masterclasses with Eberhard Feltz, Wayne Foster-Smith, Niklas Schmidt, Gavriel Lipkind and Christopher Gross, amongst others.

A state-ranked HSC Music student, she received an ENCORE nomination for her Performance program which included ‘Joy Dirt’ by Damian Barbeler, written for her. Suzannah has taught cello and theory to beginners, school students and amateurs of a large age range and can assist with HSC preparation in performance and theory. She has performed in and recorded compositions for HSC and IB Music ensembles. In addition, while studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Suzannah implemented and taught music theory and aural classes.
