Teacher Profile
Nils has extensive experience teaching both privately and through the school system, including in independent music schools and community engagement programs allowing him to engage with different methodologies and values in education.
While his primary focus is on the AMEB Syllabus, he combines this with sight reading, rhythm games and fun duets ranging from classical to modern pop, film and video game music.
Whilst teaching the fundamentals of technique, his aim is to develop strong listening skills and to promote critical thinking on how to approach problems independently, particularly in his students own practice.
Nils holds a current Working With Children Check and offers a trial lesson free of charge.
