Paul Stiles

I’ve had the privilege of learning from Paul Stiles for the past four years, and it has been an incredible experience. Paul is an outstanding teacher—patient, encouraging, and always able to make lessons enjoyable. Under his guidance, I’ve significantly improved my technique and gained confidence in my playing. He strikes the perfect balance between letting me explore music that inspires me and ensuring I cover the essential repertoire for my exams. I’m truly grateful for his expertise and support.

I learnt French Horn from Paul as a novice in late primary school all the way through multiple AMEB exams and HSC music.
Paul was an excellent teacher being very supportive and encouraging so I highly recommend him as a teacher to students at any level. Now I have the chance the play alongside Paul in various community orchestras where he continues to be an inspiring mentor figure.

Paul has taught my son Callum to play the French Horn for last 2 years. He has helped my son learn how to play his first few notes to now being able to confidently play songs and scales at a Grade 2 level. He is patient, encouraging, punctual, organised and highly experienced and has helped my son foster a love for playing the French Horn. We highly recommend him as a teacher.
