Since 1997, Susannah has taught students of all ages and abilities, from young beginners to advanced performers preparing for AMEB examinations, auditions, tertiary assessments and university recitals. Her teaching experience includes Monash University, Camberwell Boys Grammar School and Korowa Anglican Girls’ School, as well as coaching for the Australian and Melbourne Youth Orchestras.
Her approach combines sound technical foundations, expressive musicianship and a supportive, individualised teaching style. She tailors lessons to each student’s needs, encouraging confident performance, effective practice habits, musical independence and the development of individual expression. Alongside traditional classical training, she incorporates creative approaches, including simple improvisation, to foster curiosity and imagination.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, Susannah aims to make learning the violin both rewarding and musically fulfilling.
