About
I am a professional musician and instrumental music teacher and I love sharing my knowledge and passion for music with others. I currently hold a Master of Music degree (jazz performance) from Conservatorium Maastricht (NL) and have been a performing locally, nationally and internationally with my own original projects and as a freelancer for over 10 years. I have been teaching privately since 2009 and was also the principal woodwind tutor at Clairvaux Mackillop College (Brisbane) from 2017-18 before moving to the Netherlands to pursue further study.
I currently provide private instrumental tuition on saxophone, clarinet and flute from my home teaching studio in Herston (5 minutes from Brisbane City). I also provide improvisation, jazz theory, harmony, aural skills and composition lessons to anyone who is interested in these areas regardless of the instrument they play. All ages and skill levels are welcome from beginner to advanced.
Whilst my area of expertise is jazz and improvised music I have lots of experience performing and teaching broadly in various genres such as classical, rock/pop, contemporary, latin etc. I can also accommodate AMEB tuition if required.
