My name is Cameron Campbell- a violin, viola and theory teacher- who has recently moved back to Melbourne after working with the Southbank Sinfonia in London.
I am passionate about music education for all ages as I believe that music is an integral part of a well-rounded education, given that it develops various skills which can be translated to other areas of education and life. I have enjoyed teaching privately and in schools for the past seven years in both individual and group contexts. A large component of my work in Southbank Sinfonia involved teaching and leading workshops with school children of all ages. I have also led workshops with ensembles from regional Queensland as the violist of the Australian Youth Orchestra String Quartet.
As an orchestral musician, I have worked with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Sinfonia. I have also performed solo and chamber recitals throughout Australia and London.
Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium and Bachelor of Music with Class 1 Honours in Music Performance from the University of Queensland, Grade 8 AMEB (High Distinction), Grade 5 Theory (High Distinction)
