About

Chris has been a performer, composer and educator for over 25 years and has lead music departments in the State and Independent Sector. Chris is currently Director of Ensembles at St Michael's Grammar School and holds Masters Degrees in Music (University of Leeds, UK, Clarinet Performance) and Education (Federation University), as well as a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne in music education. Chris has extensive experience in teaching clarinet and saxophone from beginner to diploma level, as well as VCE Music Performance having taught both the classroom and instrumental aspects of the course and has been a past examiner. He is able to inspire beginners through a fun and engaging manner in all aspects of performance and musicianship, as well as advanced students. Chris believes that there is value in all musical styles.
