Cienna has recently completed her Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Viola Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She began playing the viola at the age of 8, and has been immersed in music ever since. She played the piano and sung in choirs throughout school, and has extensive music theory knowledge.
Cienna is a passionate and enthusiastic music teacher who aims to unlock the musical potential in all of her students, inspiring them to progress and achieve their goals. Her dedication to music extends into her lessons by using a blend of technical and musical tuition.
Cienna has been very involved in chamber (string quartets, piano quartets, piano trios) and orchestral ensembles (University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), where she thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with her peers, working in a team and playing a range of different music styles. In 2014, Cienna performed a viola solo at the Melbourne Recital Centre, and was also the School Instrumental Music Captain for her house in the Performing Arts Festival.
I am very passionate about music and music teaching. I have now been playing the viola for fifteen years so it is a huge part of my life. I wish to extend this love and dedication onto my students, and assist them in unlocking and discovering their potential. As I recently completed my Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree, I am now looking for permanent students!
I would prefer to travel to the students' home, but I am able to have lessons at my place in Malvern if need be. I teach all levels beginner - advanced, $30 for half an hour or $60 for an hour. This may vary depending on travel time.
