Styles: Classical, Music for leisure, Modern Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Suitability: Ages 5 to 30 years Pricing: $50/hr, $30/half hr Clementine is a dedicated and thorough violin teacher who provides an encouraging lesson environment in which the individual student is the focus. Teaching from the age of 16 has given Clementine valuable experience and she aims to foster a love of music and performance in each of her students. Students looking to begin learning violin will be introduced to basic concepts of music and violin playing. There will be a focus on creating a solid foundation in technique as well as playing for enjoyment. Each student will be playing the violin by the end of their first lesson and over time will perform a wide range of music in all styles including classical, baroque, jazz, popular and contemporary. Musical interpretation, technical work, aural skills, performance technique (ie. Presentation, performance anxiety, stamina) will be at the core of weekly lessons. Currently in her 3rd year of the Bachelor of Music degree at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Melbourne University, she is studying Violin Performance with Concert Master of the MSO, Wilma Smith. Having previously studied under, Dr. Kurt Thompson, Irina Grigorian and Sarah Curro, and received master classes from Brett Dean and Edvard Grigorian. She is able to prepare students for AMEB exams as well as VCE exams, teach students of all ages and theory is included in all beginner lessons. She is fluent in English and also speaks conversational Italian.
