Italian-born, Australian-raised, and once-resident of Canada and Mexico, pianist Grace Quaglio returned to Australia in 2011.
She specializes in the interpretation, recording and commissioning of new and contemporary musical repertoire for solo/multiple piano/s, harpsichord, keyboards and mixed ensemble, including presentations with electronics and other interactive multimedia.
As soloist and ensemble performer, she has received invitations and participated in various new music festivals and events such as the Gaudeamus International Contemporary Music Festival, Rotterdam, the International Twentieth-Century Piano Festival in Zitges, Barcelona, the Nova Scotia Festival of Music, Halifax, the Brandon Festival of New Music, the Vancouver New Music ‘Drumheat’ Piano & Percussion Series, and the Foro Internacional de Musica Nueva, Mexico City.
She has been broadcast on Australian (A.B.C.), Canadian (C.B.C.) and Mexican national radio networks, as well as having completed several artist-in-residence sessions
