Park Street Piano, Elizabeth M Alexander AMusA, all ages
Keyboard, Piano Music Teacher
I love teaching piano and I have a great deal of patience and resources to make sure you get the most out of every lesson. My lessons are one-on-one as I find this the best way to develop each person's musical skills. Occasionally I will hold group lessons where the main aim is for the students to get to know each other.
Park Street Piano studio has two public concerts a year - Winter in July and Summer in December. Performance practise helps us all learn to cope with those pesky nerves.
I can prepare you for exams in Piano Practise and Theory of Music but this is your choice. If you are not ready to present for the exam, I will advise you to wait till next time. This will guarantee a positive exam experience.
Preschoolers aged 4-5 follow the Wunderkeys program developed by "Teach Piano Today". These lessons are also one-on-one and the skills learnt will carry over to their school years.
Children aged 6 and up are invited to use the "Piano Maestro" and "DustBuster2" apps developed by the "JoyTunes" team. These apps help with home practise and feature many of the current popular songs as well as Classical and Christian music.
Teenage and Adult students can take advantage of a flexible lesson plan which caters for school and work commitments.
