Hannah Wee is a student who has studied the violin for over 9 years.
Hannah currently follows the AMEB syllabus and is tutored by a professional violinist, Joanne Wallwork, who has travelled internationally and has lectured at Monash University.
Hannah has recently sat her AMEB AMusA violin practical examination and was awarded the prestigious result of Award with Distinction. The AMusA (Associate in Music Australia) is the second highest exam level that students can study in violin. It is equivalent to achieving an undergraduate tertiary study in music performance.
Hannah has also been involved in many of Australia’s leading youth orchestras, including the Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra of Melbourne Youth Orchestras and the Victorian State School’s Spectacular Orchestra. She has explored a wide range of repertoire from classical to production music.
Hannah has also successfully received a position in the AYO (Australian Youth Orchestra) National Camp Orchestra in which she will perform in Adelaide.
Hannah has performed with her school orchestra and chamber strings orchestra. Highvale Secondary College’s Chamber strings had the privilege to perform at the prestigious Victorian Government House for numerous occasions.
Hannah has also served at CityLife Church in the church band since 2014, playing at both church services and Christmas productions.
Hannah is able to teach students from beginner to intermediate levels in her own practice.
