About
Irina Kuzminsky combines an academic background with wide-ranging performance experience in Australia, Germany and the UK as a pianist, singer and accompanist, including recitals (piano and vocal), opera, theatre shows, cross-arts projects and dance theatre.
Irina completed her BMusHons at the University of Melbourne, studying piano under Max Cooke and appearing on the ABC's "Young Australia in Concert". She also travelled to Germany on a DAAD scholarship where she studied under Alexander Sellier (former assistant
to Walter Gieseking) in Saarbrucken. A Commonwealth scholarship then took her to England where, apart from working as a performer, she completed her doctorate at Oxford and was subsequently elected Junior Research Fellow in Humanities at Wolfson College.
