I am a Professional member of the MTAQ, holding the A Mus A performance diploma & a Dip Teaching Secondary school. Add this this to my 30 plus years of private piano teaching & you know you're in good hands! Personal & tailored for each student, my tuition takes piano lessons from beginner to advanced, young to aged. With my background in high school teaching I have skills in getting the message across in a way suited to learning styles of the student. Learning needs to be fun, progressive & aligned with the goals of the individual. I offer preparation for exams if a student requests. Others are happy to set goals for personal advancement. My studio is air-conditioned for comfort in summer & winter. An upright Kawai piano & an electronic keyboard are available. A comfy sofa is provided for waiting parents. I encourage the presence of parents especially with younger students. Home practice is expected & there needs to be a piano or touch sensitive keyboard available for regular student practice. Opportunities for performance in public are given twice a year. This has great benefits to confidence building. I hold a Blue Card for Child Safety. Lesson fees follow the recommended minimum by MTAQ.org.au. I welcome an initial free Meet & Greet where all the policies & fees can be discussed.
