1. Jazz Piano Lessons: Transition from classical to jazz playing. For classically trained pianists who wish to broaden their repertoire or expand on skills, learning jazz is a fun and rewarding experience. Transition lessons introduce and develop improvisation, phrasing, chord voicing and other skills which differ to traditional classical training. Suitable for pianists with current ability equivalent to AMEB grade 4, age 13 years or over. Previous jazz experience not required. 2. Jazz Piano Lessons: Specialise in jazz piano. The studio also welcomes jazz pianists from intermediate to advanced levels, playing for school, university, professionally or just for fun. Jazz theory, composition, improvisation, chord voicings etc. are taught mostly through the medium of the jazz standard.  Styles include contemporary, swing, latin, bossanova, and blues. 
 3. Alexander Technique for musicians Alexander Technique teaches ease and efficiency.  You learns skills to address back pain, neck pain, or other things which interfere with comfort and performance.  Alexander Technique actively helps you while you are sitting, walking, playing, working or doing anything that involves posture or movement!  This is especially relevant to musicians who are experiencing: pain in hands, wrist, shoulder, neck or back, RSI, carpal tunnel, overuse injury, performance anxiety, tension and for those who wish to improve on technique, expression, musicality, confidence, comfort, ease or endurance in performance.
 For pianists working on technical development, principles of Taubman Technique are also referred to as complementary to integrated training. Students of any musical background or genre can benefit from Alexander Technique. For more info visit About Jeremy: Jeremy is a VCA graduate who has received critical acclaim for his composition, recordings and performance in Woolhouse-Michailidis-Robertson, Birchall and Woolhouse and Silverbeat projects. His signature melodic lyricism and elegant use of harmony shine in a style which fuses jazz, classical and South American music. Teaching music since 1998, Jeremy has been developing ways to engage students’ creativity and promote confidence. He sees music education as an investment personal development. Jeremy is interested in music being a healthy and inspiring recreation or a rewarding and engaging profession for pupils. In offering structured and personalised lessons, Jeremy promotes his students achieving independence and prolonged wellbeing whilst enjoying the learning process. Jeremy has accumulated experience teaching Alexander Technique to performing artists for professional development, injury rehabilitation, RSI and pain management.  Jeremy works with a diverse range of students, applying Alexander Technique to a host of conditions and professional applications. Drawing on experience as a professional pianist and teacher, Jeremy is uniquely qualified to present musicality and technique in a way which coordinates the complete performance. Fees: 45 min session from $68 60 min sessions from $87 Concession rates and scholarships are also available for Alexander Technique.
