Keyboard, Percussion, Voice, Woodwind Music Teacher and Accompanist
An alternative hollistic approach to learning music: sight-reading, playing-by-ear, utilizing your chosen instrument be it keyboard, woodwind, percussion or voice. The practical understanding of harmony and rhythm are introduced using ear training prior to the study of methods of notation. The practice and theory of music are developed simultaneously. Practical work is studied by examining the student's preferred music examples. The teacher guides the student in choosing works suitable to the development of the student. There is NO focus given to sight-reading in isolation from playing by ear but both are treated as equally important. Working especially in Theory and Performance of Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, Piano and Organ, Voice and Percussion. The aim is: discover and remove road-blocks to the student's progress, technical or psychological.
Especially suitable for beginners of any age.
