I am a performer and flute teacher, having recently returned from performing and teaching in the UK. I work with most of Australia' s major symphony orchestras, as well as holding the position of co-principal flute with the Southbank Sinfonia and playing with the BBC Symphony. My teaching experience includes guest lecturing at the University of Melbourne, tutoring the youth orchestras at Melbourne Youth Music and several youth orchestras in London, one on one lessons at St Andrew’s College (Sydney), Music for Everyone & St Monica’s College (Canberra). I have recently led collaborative music programs in schools and with young members of the community in East Timor, as well as leading music engagement programs with children in low socio-economic areas of London.
I am a graduate of the Australian National University and the Australian National Academy of Music. I have held the prestigious flute fellowship with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and studied intensively in the UK. This year I hold a fellowship at ANAM, a JUMP mentorship through the Australia Council and will be guest artist at a number of festivals including the Australian Flute Festival.
