About

Sebastien Robinson began his studies on the oboe at the age of 14 under the tuition of his father Stephen Robinson (Principal Oboe, Orchestra Victoria) and quickly developed a strong passion for the instrument. After periods of study with Geoff Dodd (Principal Cor Anglais, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) and Michael Pisani (Oboe, MSO), as well as lessons with Elaine Douvas (Principal Oboe, New York Metropolitan Opera and Chairman of Woodwind Department at The Juilliard School, N.Y.C), Sebastien completed his Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the University of Melbourne in 2009, graduating with Honours. Sebastien is currently studying with Diana Doherty (Principal Oboe, Sydney Symphony Orchestra)
