Bernadette Mether is a classically trained mezzo-soprano with spinto ability. She enjoys performing in many styles including classical, jazz and music theatre genres.
Bernadette Mether graduated from the University of Melbourne, in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts & Diploma in Education majoring in Music & Mathematics. In 1992 she gained a Graduate Diploma in Special Education from Deakin University .
Musical qualifications include: 7th Grade Theory of Music;6th Grade Classical Guitar and the AMusA and LMusA in singing from the Australian Music Examinations Board as well as the ATCL (Recital) and LTCL Recital in singing from Trinity College, London.
She is a Professional member of the Victorian Music Teachers Association and has completed the Orff Schulwerk Level 1 course and Levels 1 & 2 in the Estill Voice Training System.
Since 1986, she has tutored primary & secondary students in the areas of Maths, Music & English as well taught singing, theory & guitar in her private studio.
