Hey there I’m Ed, I’ve always been an enthusiast of the piano. But recently I’ve been even more enthusiastic about developing independent musicians. I’m an official AMEB classically trained musician who is currently studying towards my AMusA examination. I have prepared 10+ students for AMEB exams and continue to expand my student base.
My mission statement is to help students of any age develop a fundamental understanding of reading, playing, listening, creating and interpreting music. Music is a skill acquirable by anyone, not reserved only for those with talent. We want to empower everyone with the courage to pursue the creative performing arts side of themselves. Whether that be playing for the enjoyment of yourself or others, we’ll provide you 24/7 support along your journey.
Lesson outline
Technical work (15min): Scales, arpeggios, exercises and more from “AMEB Piano Technical Workbook”. All the fundamentals for hand dexterity, fluid control and minimizing hand injuries.
Repertoire (15min): Performance pieces which put together all the skills of note reading, rhythm, dynamics, articulation and interpretation. These are usually AMEB grade pieces or pieces or your choice.
Sightreading (15min): Note reading, rhythm, finger numbers and more from “How to Blitz Sightreading”. Build the basics to read any sheet music and bring it to life.
45min: $48
50min: $62
Travel to your home: additional fees depend on time and distance from our Greensborough studio. Some distances may not be applicable.
