Amy Wang is a New York–trained clarinetist and dedicated music educator now based in Sydney. With degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Mannes School of Music at The New School in the United States, Amy brings world-class training and extensive performance experience to her teaching studio. She has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, David Geffen Hall, Merkin Hall, New York City Center, and the Sydney Opera House.
As a passionate and nurturing teacher, Amy has guided students from their very first notes to advanced levels. Her students have achieved high marks in AMEB and ABRSM exams, been accepted into Harvard University and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (New York), scholarship recipents to prestigious private schools such as King’s College in Auckland, winner of musc competition, and earned placements in selective youth orchestras and summer festivals.
A native of New Zealand, Amy moved back home during the pandemic, where she founded a successful music school and taught students ranging from young beginners to advanced musicians as well as hosting regular student recitals. She recently relocated to Sydney, where she now offers clarinet lessons in Neutral Bay, Sydney.
