Hi there, my name is Antonio! I am a 22 year old university student studying interactive and visual design at QUT.
I have been playing the cello for 14 years, formally training in classical cello through ABRSM (the British grading standard), and finishing my grade 8. I completed a classical performance paper at The University of Auckland. While this was a great experience, I decided to pursue my design career, but I am still passionate about the cello and love teaching others.
I am keen to teach both adults and children, whether that’s with the goal of completing grades or just for a fun new hobby.
I lived in New Zealand for most of my life, where I taught at a primary school for 2 years (as a Teacher Aid) and I grew up constantly helping take care of my lovely little cousins. I have been a substitute teacher, teaching cello in group lessons to primary school students, but I would love the chance to explore 1 on 1 sessions with kids of any age.
While I do have a large skillset in childcare, I currently have a few adult students whom I have been enjoying teaching. So if you are looking to learn the cello and you want someone friendly and adaptable, look no further, I am here to help
So if you are grade 5 or below, I am hoping to expand my student base for the last half of 2025 and 2026.
Lessons will be held in Chermside.
