I am a passionate musician with a lifelong connection to music, having been raised in a musical family. My mother, a professional pianist, inspired my early interest, and from a very young age, I could play by ear and compose my own music.
I have pursued music professionally, holding an ATCL Diploma in Solo Piano from Trinity College London, where I achieved the highest marks and was awarded Prize Winner of the Year. I have also successfully completed graded music theory exams through Trinity College London.
My performance experience includes playing the clarinet in school bands for over seven years and participating in university orchestras in the UK. I have over 20 years of private teaching experience, guiding students in piano and music theory for Trinity College London , The Royal Schools of Music exams (ABSRM) and Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) . Additionally, I have coached students for GCSE/Secondary education in Music.
I hold a PhD and have extensive teaching experience in both personal and higher education settings. Currently, I teach piano and music theory in Mitcham, Melbourne, and offer online lessons. My teaching approach focuses on helping students play music they are interested in, developing technical skills, and preparing for examinations. All my students have achieved high grades in their respective examinations, and I am committed to helping new students reach their musical goals.
I look forward to making your musical journey engaging and rewarding.
