About

I am an enthusiastic singing and piano teacher and am currently working at Brigidine College St Ives, Roseville
College, Sacred Heart Primary Pymble as well as privately at my home in Wahroonga. I currently have vacancies at my home studio. I have a particular interest in teaching primary and secondary age children as this is the age they develop good habits and a life long love of music. I have 30 years experience with students of all ages, as well as dyslexic children and have prepared students for both AMEB and Trinity College exams. I am also an adjudicator for Sydney Eisteddfod.

I completed a Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Music Performance degree at Sydney Conservatorium before going to London for further study. I sang professionally for many years in London’s West End in opera and musicals and have recorded on the Griffin label. I also prepared students for auditions and did vocal coaching for many London Musicals. I returned to Sydney 10 years ago to continue my passion for teaching in Sydney’s North Shore.

I believe the best learning takes place when students are having fun and don’t even know they are learning. Personality is key and responding to a friendly, inspiring teacher is the way to unlock potential.
