Flute & Piano lessons open to all levels and all ages! My duty as an instrumental teacher is to educate all students through music-making and to create well-rounded individuals. I foster a safe and supportive learning environment whereby students do not shy away from making mistakes, but instead see them as opportunities for growth.
I teach beginner to advanced students who play for fun or prepare for AMEB and Trinity exams, recitals, eisteddfods and auditions. I also offer piano accompaniment for any student who wishes to perform their pieces at concerts or other events.
A little about me –
I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Advanced Flute Performance at the QLD Conservatorium under the expert tutelage of Patrick Nolan. In the final year of my degree, I was awarded my Licentiate Diploma for piano. In July 2019, I graduated with a Master of Secondary Teaching with Distinction at Griffith University. From 2015 to 2019, I was a yearly recipient of the Griffith University Award for Academic Excellence. I’ve had the pleasure of taking on multiple leadership roles by performing as Principal flautist of the Australian Youth Bishop Orchestra (National Music Camp), Queensland Youth Symphony, Cadenza Chamber Players, Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Conservatorium Wind Orchestra, and Queensland Conservatorium Opera Orchestra. Currently, I’m working as a freelance performer and sharing my love for music at various schools where I teach flute, piano and accompany choirs.
