About

With 15+ years of piano teaching experience, I offer personalised, play-based lessons that inspire musical independence, creative expression, and confidence- especially in young children/ teenagers to become independent musicians.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in inspiring a lifelong love of music. Every lesson is tailored to suit the unique goals, interests, and learning styles of each student. I encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration—introducing students to a wide range of musical styles, technology, and expressive tools.

Students not only learn how to play music—they learn how it’s built, how to interpret it, and how to create their own. Whether learning to read music, building solid technique, or mastering favorite pieces, students gain a broad and meaningful musical foundation.

From the very beginning, I emphasise beautiful playing and healthy technique. I’m especially passionate about helping both beginners and advanced students develop ease, fluency, and injury-free playing. For those preparing for exams, competitions, or simply learning for enjoyment, I offer structured support at every stage.

My Background in Training:

Here’s a little more about myself:

I was born and raised in Hong Kong and began learning piano at the age of five. I later earned a Bachelor of Music from Hong Kong Baptist University, where I had the privilege of studying under renowned pianist Nancy Loo.

With over 21 years of choral experience, I’ve performed internationally and participated in events such as the World Choir Games and International Youth Singing Competitions.

Now based in Australia, I am currently completing a Master of Music Therapy at the University of Melbourne, aspiring to help others through music by supporting their well-being after I complete my Master’s.

My music therapy training background has taught me everyone is unique, and I believe in working to each students’ strengths and interests in order to facilitate lessons tailored to their unique style of learning.
