With over 15 years of piano teaching experience, I offer personalised, play-based lessons that foster musical independence, creative expression, and confidence—particularly in children and teenagers developing as independent musicians.
My teaching philosophy is centred on nurturing a lifelong love of music. Each lesson is tailored to individual goals, interests, and learning styles. Lesson includes exploring through a wide range of musical styles, technique development, musicianship, improvisation, composition and fun games!
Students learn not only how to perform music, but also how it is constructed, interpreted, and created. I emphasise healthy technique and expressive playing, supporting both beginners and advanced students in developing ease, fluency, and sustainable practice habits. Whether preparing for exams, performances, or learning for enjoyment, I provide structured guidance at every stage.

I was born and raised in Hong Kong and began learning piano at age five. I later completed a Bachelor of Music at Hong Kong Baptist University, where I studied under Nancy Loo, an acclaimed pianist and educator trained at the Juilliard School.
With over 21 years of choral experience, I have performed internationally, including at the World Choir Games and various international competitions.
Since relocating to Australia in 2012, I have taught students of all ages across Sydney and the Central Coast. I have also worked in early childhood group settings, including at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, developing foundational musical skills in young learners.
I am currently completing a Master of Music Therapy at the University of Melbourne, with experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and people living with dementia and mental health challenges. I use music as a therapeutic tool to support social, emotional, and physical wellbeing, and I adapt my approach to each individual’s strengths and needs.
Whether learning for enjoyment, personal growth, or preparing for HSC/ music exams, my goal is to nurture confident, independent musicians and inspire a lifelong love of music.
