About

Krishna is a seasoned bassist with over 15 years experience performing around Australia and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Monash University where he refined his craft under the tutelage of well renowned Australian Symphony Orchestra Double Bassists Stephen Newton (MSO), Ben Hanlon (MSO) and Young-Hee Chan (ASO). Some career highlights include performing for orchestras such as the Australian Youth Orchestra, Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute and the Monash Academy Orchestra amongst others. He was also featured on 3MBS fine music Melbourne radio station where he had the opportunity to perform as part of a master-class for arguably one of Australia’s most successful Double Bass player exports Tim Dunin (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra).

Krishna is also well known for his playing of the electric bass most notably for spending nearly 2 decades performing South Asian film music all around Australia in charity shows contributing to the underprivileged in Sri Lanka.

Krishna’s teaching style involves a focus on getting the fundamentals right but also having fun in the process. He thrives on being able to bring out the best in his students and will always ensure to nurture their individuality through his tailored approach to teaching.
