Learn Bass’s purpose-built home studio was established in 2018. Now provides private bass lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons are individualised for each student’s goals, needs, and interests. All contemporary music styles can be catered for.
Your teacher – Hayley Gibson
Hayley Gibson is a highly qualified freelance musician and music teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2004 Hayley graduated from Southern Cross University, with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music majoring in Bass performance. Since completing this degree she has been an active member of the industry teaching and playing in a wide spectrum of contemporary styles and situations. In 2009 she completed her Masters in Teaching to supplement her skill set.
She has a passion for working with students at different stages of their musical journeys, supporting them as they discover and develop their musical voice while cementing their love of music and all things bass.
Lessons – What you get
One-on-one bass lessons with a highly qualified and experienced musician and music teacher in a relaxed yet motivating environment.
A typical lesson includes technique, theory, and a song project. Build your skills and understanding in context. This allows you to develop your musical foundations while playing the music you love.
These interesting and fun lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and aspirations. You will learn your favourite songs, styles, and grooves while building your musicianship to become a well-rounded bass player and musician.
