About

I am a composer, conductor, classical singer and multi-instrumentalist, currently (as of 2023) completing my Honours in Composition at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

I began my musical journey as a folk fiddler, busking every day instead of going to school, and I still love the old tunes and maintain a belief that music is freedom (so long as you know how to practice >:-)).
I strive to create a flexible method tailored to the needs, interests, strengths and ambitions of each individual student.

Here is a video of me playing an original solo viola composition, Solomon’s Lament (a classical piobaireachd written to commemorate the death in battle of my ma’s rooster): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwmERgH9QGs

Please note that while I offer beginner piano lessons (piano is a very good instrument for learning introductory theory and musicianship), it is not my main area of expertise, and more advanced students or students wishing to focus specifically on piano technique would be better served by a piano specialist.
