About

Have you always wanted to learn the harp but never had the opportunity? Or has it seemed like an impossible dream, or perhaps just a little too daunting?

Megan is an experienced teacher of 25 years standing and holds a current Working With Children Check. She is able to provide lessons for both beginners and the more advanced on either lever or pedal harp. Anyone from the age of 8 to 80 will be considered however spaces are limited and a waiting list may be in place.

The ability to read music is desirable but not essential. As well as focusing on harp technique Megan spends time looking at general theory, music history and all different angles of harp playing. Individual lessons are enhanced with regular harp ensembles, student performances and masterclasses.

Lessons are also available over Zoom, so distance is no problem and you can learn in the comfort of your own home.

Megan can prepare candidates for both AMEB and Trinity Guildhall exams if they wish. However, no pressure is ever placed upon a student to undertake an examination if they do not wish.

A number of small harps are available for hire so you can try before you buy.
