About

Melody Lane is a music mentoring and teaching business run by Xadi Walsh. Xadi offers contemporary vocal and guitar lessons for all ages, and for people with disabilities. All lessons are from beginner to early intermediate. She offers individual lessons for adults, and both individual and group lessons for children. All lessons can include music theory, song-writing and learning basic piano skills. Lessons can be tailored to suit the individual and/or group.

Hi I’m Xadi! Music is one of my biggest passions. I have played in several contemporary style bands for around nine years, and I have been working on my own band “SheOak”, performing in venues around Naarm/Melbourne over the past four years.

For me, music is a never-ending journey filled with learning, which is what makes it so exciting! Lacking confidence when I first started performing, to now being able to stand on stage and perform to a live audience has been a giant step on my own personal music journey.

For the past 10 years, I have been an early childhood educator, disability support worker, and aged care worker. Teaching and mentoring students in music is the perfect combination of both my passions – music and the desire to help others achieve their goals.

I believe everyone has an inner song or music inside them and everyone has their own story to tell. Learning music can help you gain confidence and the necessary skills to channel that inner passion.

I have a 1/2 size, 3/4 size and an adult guitar in my studio if students do not have their own. I offer group lessons for children, (up to 3 children) and individual lessons for adults. Lesson bundles at a cheaper price are also an option.

I am taking on new students until December 15th, following which, I will then be on maternity leave. So it is a great opportunity to try something new over spring and summer and then I’ll be back teaching again on a part-time basis from April-May 2023.
