The ‘Sing in, sing out’ methodology born out of Hollywood LA through my business “Singing Studio LA” is a unique approach to singing developed as a way to get to the real inner blocks that are stopping you from thriving. It’s effective because we’re digging deeper than just focusing on vocal technique and instead using a 360 approach to understand the ‘why’. I’ve used this method with over 600 students and the results are literally mind blowing.
BIO- Mia Slayford is a Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Performer and Vocal coach. Born in Perth & recently returned from a decade abroad, her career has taken her across the globe from Rome, Milan- Italy, UK, Amsterdam, Sweden to Los Angeles as a Singer and coach. Her latest single “In My Head” gained widespread attention, earning a coveted spot on MTV’s Sparked New. She also made a major splash on the international stage, performing at Concert for Earth in the Azores, Portugal alongside The Black Eyed Peas, Bush, Sting, Nicole Scherzinger, and Stone Temple Pilots. As a songwriter, Mia has collaborated with an impressive roster of industry talents including Ben Lee, P.J. Bianco (Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme, Rihanna), Boyd Wilson (Living Daylights), Windy Wagner (Glee, Britney Spears), and Michael Jay (Celine Dion, Eminem).
At age 22, she made history as the first Australian to appear on the renowned hit Italian TV show ‘Amici’ and also starred in an episode of ‘House Hunters International’ on HGTV, filming her musical career in Milan and Stockholm, which reached an estimated 20 million viewers worldwide. Her single, “I Won’t Cry,” gained notable recognition, being featured on a popular Australian TV series and earning her the Voice On Music Festival winner in Rome, Italy. After returning from overseas, she just finished a very successful run of her new Pop Theatre show “Planet Pop” for Fringe at Downstairs at the Maj and The Blue Room Theatre.
