I am currently a freelance performing cellist and teacher based in Coorparoo, Brisbane. As a performer, I play regularly with professional ensembles including the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. As a teacher, I manage a busy private studio of students in two locations, at my place in Coorparoo and also in Riverhills. I have previously taught cello at many schools in Brisbane, including St Peter’s Springfield, Good News Lutheran, Westside Christian College, St John’s Anglican, All Hallows (temporary capacity) and John Paul College (temporary capacity).
I have had many diverse musical experiences which have informed my performing and teaching. Following the completion of my Bachelor of Music, I pursued further studies in Hamburg with renowned cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, during which time I learnt and performed at several festivals throughout Europe. I have also been a performer at festivals in North America, including the Icicle Creek Chamber Music Festival in Washington and the Musical Chairs Festival in Montreal.
