I have completed 11 years of special music school for gifted children at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, I continued advanced studies at St. Petersburg State Conservatory where I received masters of arts degree in performing arts cello, and piano. I studied under Henry Wenig at Melbourne University.
In Moscow for many years I worked in a Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Opera & Ballet Orchestra, have worked in Moscow Symphony Orchestras with renowned conductors Juri Bashmet, Pavel Kogan and others.
In Melbourne I performed solo cello recitals at St. John’s Southgate Church, The Trout Quintet with pianist Louisa Breen performed at Swedish Church, worked in Southern Cross Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne City Opera, Star Chorale Orchestra, Melbourne Musicians (Frank Pam) Art of Sound Orchestra (Mario Dobernig) Melbourne Camerata Orchestra (Doug Haywood) Peter Bandy Symphony Orchestra, Australian Classical Players Symphony Orchestra, and more
I have taught at both private Alla’s Music Studio, Hello Music and government Eltham High School.
I have a wealth of musical experience and knowledge as both a cellist and piano player with over 30 years experience which includes working as a teacher to develop skills for students who are looking at mastering both instruments. I developed an in-depth experience of symphony orchestra, opera, and chamber music repertoire.
I’m very enthusiastic, passionate, and patient cello and piano teacher and my goal is to nurture and instill a love of music and to broaden music horizons in general. Also, my goal is to develop student’s talents and open their music potential.
I teach for leisure or professionally and happy to teach all ages and levels.
The aim of my class is to develop the musical side of the student. I will encourage students to learn problem solving and how to think for themselves, independently.
During the lesson we will go through music theory because it’s inevitably connected with music pieces.
I’ll share knowledge of a special technique that helps to learn passages of a different types and technically challenging spots more effectively.
I’ll ask the student to sing what she/he is playing.
I will motivate and inspire student to practice, to develop love for instrument and for music.
