About

With 25 years of experience, I have taught students of all ages and skills. I specialise in coaching cellists to attain successful entries into tertiary positions, orchestras and scholarships to many of Melbourne’s finest schools. I find it doesn’t matter what level you’re at, it’s what you want to achieve. I’ll get you there! I have a performance diploma from the Victorian College of the Arts (Henry Wenig), AMEB Licentiate and a performance degree from the Conservatorium of Amsterdam. I studied with Jean Decroos (former Solo-Cellist Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Guarneri Trio, pupil of Paul Tortelier & Andre Navarra) for 5 years and have had master classes with Valter Despalj, Danielle Dechenne, Floris Mijnders, Daniel Esser, Olga Martinova, Amadeo Baldovino, Christoph Richter, Natalia Gutman and Pieter Wispelwey. I have also performed with all the major orchestras in the Netherlands, recorded for ABC Classic FM & 3MBS and appeared on all the television networks in Australia and the Netherlands. I’ve also performed with Meatloaf, James Taylor and the Chieftains!
