I love teaching piano and I have a great deal of patience and resources to make sure you get the most out of every lesson. My lessons are one-on-one as I find this the best way to develop each person’s musical skills. Occasionally I will hold group lessons where the main aim is for the students to get to know each other.
Park Street Piano studio has two public concerts a year – Winter in July and Summer in December. Performance practise helps us all learn to cope with those pesky nerves.
I can prepare you for exams in Piano Practise and Theory of Music but this is your choice. If you are not ready to present for the exam, I will advise you to wait till next time. This will guarantee a positive exam experience. Of course you don’t have to study for an exam in order to learn the piano.
I use studio-licensed music from ‘Teach Piano Today’ and ‘Supersonics Piano’ which enables me to provide you with lots of music at minimal cost. I use SupersonicsPlus and Carol Matz Interactive Piano Method for online activities and backing tracks to enhance your playing. I have a huge library where you can borrow a book for the holidays or to play a collection before you buy it.
