James is a graduate from the University of Western Australia where he undertook specialist music studies in piano performance under Jana Kovar. James is also a professional concert pianist, and a recent quarter finalist in the 16th International Beethoven Piano Competition 2021. He has been teaching piano since 2014, and has experience in teaching and mentoring from beginners through to tertiary level students. James has extensive experience in piano performance having started in his early childhood, and has developed a reputation in the music industry through the years. His involvement in the industry has seen him working alongside operatic productions in Australia and overseas, working with ensembles and instrumentalists, and performing at various events such as the Mercedes Benz GLE Launch, ‘Enduring Friendship’ between WA and Germany 2019, and several charities. With the knowledge and experience James has gained over the years, he is able to pass them on to his students and guide them in their musical path and career.
