About

Saxophone player with 14 years experience, 20 years in piano. Bmus at Monash university. 5 years experience in touring, teaching and recording. 10 years in flute and clarinet. I have a flexible approach to teaching an instrument that focuses on a students wants and needs. Many students feel limited by only one style of learning so I work to find an approach that works for everyone. Through AMEB or simple developing a technical and musical repertoire, we can develop the facility and ear for what sounds good on the instrument that will inform our further development. I work to encourage a strong understanding of harmony so that students can not only play a piece of music, they understand how it fits together, and are able to identify to a higher degree what it is they enjoy about the music. My rates are 50 dollars an hour, or 30 for half an hour. Please do not hesitate to contact me about any questions you might have.
