Matt Semple is a multi-disciplinary artist and singing teacher based in Brisbane. A composer, musical director and writer, Matt graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium Musical Theatre program in 2015. Matt recently returned to the Conservatorium to work as a Musical Director for the second years’ production of A Threepenny Opera. He writes and composes annually for A Very Naughty Christmas (Woodward Productions), which has been an annual festive staple of Brisbane Powerhouse since 2017, and in 2020 his cabaret Hers performed to a sell-out audience as part of Queensland Cabaret Festival. He is an experienced singing teacher and performance coach with speciality in singing for Musical theatre. He offers technical teaching in classical and contemporary singing styles, and audition coaching for tertiary degrees.
